Wastewater network inspections in Piopio and Maniaiti/Benneydale

Council contractors are currently in Maniaiti/Benneydale and Piopio townships inspecting sewer systems and drains as part of a project to identify potential risks to the network. As part of the inspections, staff may undertake visual checks on private stormwater and wastewater outlets including gully traps and downpipes.

Rora Street Road Closure 21-22 May

Council contractor HEB will be temporarily blocking off parking on Rora Street at the southern end of town while they pull a new pipe across the State Highway.

This will be in place on Thursday and Friday. Once this work is completed, the stop/go and detour at Lawrence St / SH30 will be removed, helping traffic flow return to normal through the township.

Thanks for your patience while we progress through this significant project.
