The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Monday 26 January for Auckland Anniversary. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.

Weather Watch - Heavy rain and strong wind
Metservice has issued a heavy rain watch and strong wind watch for our district. The watch is valid from 1pm tomorrow Wednesday, 21 January 2026 to 6am Thursday 22 January.

King Country Energy (KCE) invites you to come along to this fun day and enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, a sausage sizzle fundraiser, and photo opportunities with Westpac Rescue Helicopter pilots.

When: Sunday 13 April

Where: Te Kuiti Domain 12pm- 3pm

  • Plus see the Westpac Rescue Helicopter fly into town.
  • Be in to WIN a ride in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter on the day.
