Water Supply Update

10 Apr 2014, 10:29 AM

The district has received some much needed rainfall overnight and early this morning. Water levels in all areas have improved, besides the Mokau/ Awakino supply. Mokau has received some rain, but it is too early to tell what influence it will have on the discoloured water issue that has developed due to the very low level of raw water in the storage dams. Therefore the Water Alert Level 2 Restrictions still apply for Mokau/ Awakino communities.

Benneydale, Piopio and Te Kuiti will remain on Water Alert Level 1 Conservation for now.
