As most organisations and businesses move into the future, so too does the Piopio community website: www.piopio.net.nz. Redesigned to accommodate both local needs and to provide a directory of information for tourists and travellers. The new site aims to support local businesses and organisations, whilst promoting Piopio as a destination.

Web co-ordinators, Jenny Brodie and Donna Pari have taken a keen interest in marketing Piopio as

A THRIVING VILLAGE NESTLED BETWEEN THE WORLD FAMOUS WAITOMO CAVES AND THE RUGGED TARANAKI COAST

A key feature is the community events calendar. The online calendar will feature local events and fundraisers and the pair hope for all groups to use the site to both promote and to help plan functions.

Other sections will feature the community’s history, employment opportunities, community news and local clubs and organisation contacts, including a vast selection of quiet native bush walks, to the more adventurous mountain bike rides or Lama trekking.

An abundance of accommodation choices are available throughout the district to suit the needs of all visitors, Camping, Farm Stays, Motel or Bed and Breakfast.

If you wish to list your service or business please submit your enquiry via the Piopio website contact page
