The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Monday 26 January for Auckland Anniversary. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.

Metservice has issued a heavy rain watch and strong wind watch for our district. The watch is valid from 1pm tomorrow Wednesday, 21 January 2026 to 6am Thursday 22 January.

Our Queen Street office is closed on Thursday 6 February 2014. To make a Service Request please call our WDC Helpline 0800 932 4357. Help is on hand 24/7.

AA Driver Licensing will be closed on Thursday 6 February 2014.

Landfill and Transfer Stations:

  • Waitomo District Landfill Open 9am - 4pm
  • Benneydale Closed
  • Kinohaku Closed
  • Awakino Closed
  • Piopio Closed
  • Marokopa Closed

The Te Kuiti Swimming Pools will be open on Thursday 6 February from 1pm - 5pm.

The Te Kuiti Visitor Information Centre (i-SITE) will be open from 10am - 2pm.

The Waitomo District Library will be closed on Thursday 6 February 2014.
