Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.
Water shutdown notice - William Street and adjoining streets
A water shutdown will be happening from 9am to 3.30pm today along William Street and adjoining streets. This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to commission a new watermain line. Thank you for your understanding.

Work planned for Mokau Water Supply

 

WDC will be working on the water reticulation network in Mokau to install additional valves to improve the functionality of the network.

 

This work will aide in the future maintenance of the network.

 

Our Contractor will hand out date specific shutdown notices to affected residential property owners closer to the time.

 

Work will begin at the end of July and is being carried out at night to minimise the potential for disruptions.

 

Thank you for your patience while we complete this work.
