The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Friday 6 February for Waitangi Day. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.

Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.

Join us for Toddler Time

Waitomo District Library provides a fun and free session for parents and pre-school children. Enjoy stories, songs, crafts and socialising at your local Library.

We invite you to come along, share a story, get crafty and move those happy feet.

  • Toddler Time is held on Wednesday’s from 11am – 12 noon.

Commences 7 September 2016, at Waitomo District Library, 28 Taupiri Street Te Kuiti.
