Elections Voting Bins
Voting bins at the Te Kūiti Medical Centre and The Warehouse will be removed at 4.30pm on Friday 10 October, and the voting bins at the Library and Council main office will be removed when both facilities close for the day on Friday.
The voting bin will be available at the Customer Services and Visitor Hub on Rora Street up until 12pm on Saturday 11 October - Election day.
Special votes will also be available on Election Day until 12pm.

Waitomo District Christmas Parade: will be held on the 8th December from 6pm with the theme “A Child’s Christmas Magic”.


 

Benneydale Public Toilets

The new public toilet facility at Benneydale is currently being installed.  The new facility will provide a modern and up to date public toilet complex in Benneydale with 24 hour access available for the travelling public.  


 

Winners of our Resident Survey Prize Draw

Congratulations to the following winners of the Waitomo District Council Resident Survey Prize Draw: Mr and Mrs Bromham, G and M Honnor, T Ormsby, A Merewether.  Thank you to all those who took part in our survey. Survey results will be published in the Annual Report 2016/17 and on our website.


 

Community Funding and Grants

The DC Tynan Trust funding round is now open and will close 21 July 2017. The application form is available both on our website and at the WDC office. This fund pool will support projects of a capital nature for community organisations within the Te Kuiti Urban Ward.

Discretionary Grant will open for applications mid-August closing on the 1 September 2017. The application form is available on our website and at the WDC Office, Queen Street Te Kuiti.


 

Register for our Menacing Dogs Programme

For a limited time we are offering free de-sexing (at a nominated vet clinic), microchipping, and a reduced registration fee for dogs classified as ‘menacing’ under the Dog Control Act.

Partial funding for this programme has been provided by Central Government in support of the national strategy to reduce the risk and harm of dog attacks. For more information on terms and conditions, and to register for the programme please contact WDC on 0800 932 4357 or 07 878 0800 and ask to speak to one of our Animal Control team members.
