Onsite blessing held at Kopaki Bridge

28 May 2021, 4:00 PM

An onsite blessing was held at the Kopaki Bridge south of Te Kuiti on Tuesday to signal the start of a Waka Kotahi – NZTA project to realign SH30 and replace the Kopaki Bridge.
Construction work, which will start in the next few months, involves realigning SH30 and moving the intersection of the highway and Kopaki Road further away from the bridge to allow more visibility for turning traffic.
Completion of the bridge and new approach roads is expected by Autumn 2023.
