Elections Voting Bins
Voting bins at the Te Kūiti Medical Centre, The Warehouse, the Library and Council main office will be removed at 4.30pm on Friday 10 October.
The voting bin will be available at the Customer Services and Visitor Hub on Rora Street from 9am until 12noon on Saturday 11 October - Election day.
Special votes will also be available on Election Day until 12noon.

Collaboration builds on great work at Maara Kai Roopu

Great things happen when collaboration is at play.

Council recently teamed up with Michelle Wi of Maara Kai Roopu to improve the health and safety and amenity values at the community garden.

A wastewater pump station has been onsite for decades, and when the site became occupied by Maara Kai Roopu, it was apparent that the pump station needed to be fenced off to minimise the health and safety risk.

The subsequent work was a collaboration between Council’s Water Services and ISBU teams who worked constructively with Michelle to ensure everyone’s needs were met.
