Hedge removal at Japanese Garden

Work will begin next week to remove an overgrown hedge at the Japanese Garden at the southern end of Te Kūiti.

The hedge has outgrown its space and even with regular trimming we cannot get it back enough from the footpath, which is causing difficulties for people on mobility scooters and wheelchairs getting past.

The hedge will be replanted with the same hedge plant.
