Metservice has a issued a heavy rain watch for our district and is valid until 10pm Friday 9 May.
Periods of heavy rain, with thunderstorms possible. Rainfall amounts may approach warning criteria and possibly exceed them about isolated areas, especially in localised downpours. High chance of upgrading to a Warning.

Local Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy

Waitomo District Council is proposing to adopt a Local Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy.  The purpose of this policy is to enable shops to trade on Easter Sunday if they wish to.

The draft policy is open for consultation from Wednesday 7 December 2016 to Friday 27 January 2017.
