Leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale

Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.

Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.

The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.

We also ask that you please conserve water as much as possible.

Local Council Elections Candidate Nominations

Nominations for candidates wishing to stand in this year’s elections open on Friday 15 July 2016. If you have thought about local politics and having a say in the future of your district, then find out more about standing as a candidate to become a councillor or even a mayor. 

Workshop for Prospective Candidates

Waitomo District Council will be holding a workshop for prospective candidates in this year’s Local Government elections on Thursday 14 July 2016 at 5.15pm at Council’s Offices on Queen Street.  If you are thinking of standing and want to find out more, please join us. Alternatively candidate handbooks and nomination papers are available on our website or at the Council office, Queen Street, Te Kuiti.
