WAITOMO DISTRICT COUNCIL - LOCAL ELECTIONS CANDIDATE WORKSHOPS
If you have thought about local politics and having a say in the future of your district, then find out more about standing as a candidate to become a councillor or even a mayor.
Waitomo District Council will be holding a workshop for prospective candidates in this year’s local government elections on Thursday 14 July 2016 at 5.15pm at the Council Office on Queen Street.

DC TYNAN TRUST APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Are you involved with social, cultural, educational or recreational activities in Te Kuiti?If you are you may be eligible to apply to the DC Tynan Trust for financial assistance.
The trustees of the DC Tynan Trust invite applications from organisations and groups who operate within the Te Kuiti urban boundary only to apply for financial assistance.
Please note the priority of this funding will be given to projects of a capital nature. Funds will not be allocated to applicants who have received funding from the Trust in the previous three years.
The closing date for applications is Friday 22 July 2016.

NOTICE OF ROUTINE HYDRANT FLUSHING
Veolia Water will be undertaking routine hydrant flushing to improve the quality of the water supply from Wednesday 6 July to Friday 8 July 2016.
BENNEYDALE:
Ellis Road, Georgetti Street and Milne Road.
MOKAU:
Seaview Motorcamp, Oha St, Rangi Rd, Main Rd, Aria Tce, Point Rd, Tainui St, Takarei Tce, North St, Te Kauri Rd, Te Mahoe Rd.
PIOPIO:
Moa St North, Tui St, Kiwi St, Huia St, Aria Rd, Moa St South, Kaka St, Kawana St,Poto St, View Terrace, Kuku St and Kea St.
While undertaking this work, Veolia Water will make every effort to minimise the impact on supply. In the event that temporary deterioration of your water quality occurs due to flushing in your street, it is advisable to first run your garden tap then the others for several minutes to remove any air bubbles and to restore water clarity. Please do not run water through in house filters before taps are running clear.
