One-lane road closure - Tuesday 17 December 2024

A one-lane road closure will be in place on Tuesday 17 December near the T section at BP Petrol Station in Te Kūiti. The section of road affected is one lane between Te Kūiti Pā and the railway crossing. Stop/Go traffic management will be in place. The closure is to enable Council’s contractor to investigate and upgrade a sewer manhole.

TENDER NOTICE - Contract 500/15/006

Les Munro Centre Courtyard Development

Tenders are invited for the hard landscaping associated with the courtyard redevelopment, Les Munro Centre, King Street, Te Kuiti.

The work includes part demolition of the existing concrete hard surface, deck construction, associated paving, stainless handrails and mowing strips within the courtyard area

Tenders close at the Waitomo District Council at 4.00pm on 9th June 2016. 


Routine Hydrant Flushing - Mokau and Piopio

Veolia Water will be undertaking routine hydrant flushing to improve the quality of the water supply in Mokau on the following days: Friday 27th  to Tuesday 31st May.

  • Seaview Motorcamp, Oha St, Rangi Rd, Main Rd, Aria Tce, Point Rd, Tainui St, Takarei Tce, North St, Te Kauri Rd, Te Mahoe Rd, Main Rd.

Veolia Water will be undertaking routine hydrant flushing to improve the quality of the water supply in Piopio on the following days: Friday 27th to Tuesday 31th May

  • Moa St North, Tui St, Kiwi St, Huia St, Aria Rd, Moa St South, Kaka St, Kawana St, Poto St, View Terrace, Kuku St and Kea St.

While undertaking this work, Veolia Water will make every effort to minimise the impact on supply.  In the event that temporary deterioration of your water quality occurs due to flushing in your street, it is advisable to first run your garden tap then the others for several minutes to remove any air bubbles and to restore water clarity.  Please do not run water through in house filters before taps are running clear.
