Heavy rain watch - valid until Tuesday 14 October

Metservice has issued a rain watch for our district which spans over a few days. Hopefully it's nothing to be too alarmed about, but please take care while out and about, particularly on our roads.
The watch is valid from 5pm this afternoon (Sunday 12 October) till noon on Tuesday 14 October.

Creative Communities Funding Scheme

Applications for financial assistance from individuals, groups or organisations which support and encourage creativity and opportunities to participate in arts activities are now being called for by the Waitomo District Council.

Projects must have an arts or creative cultural focus and benefit the Waitomo District Community.  Under the scheme “The Arts” is defined as “all forms of creative and interpretive expression.”

Eligible projects must meet criteria so we encourage community members to take the opportunity to understand what this includes by visiting the WDC website.
