The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Friday 6 February for Waitangi Day. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.

Change of days to temporary Awakino Waste Transfer Station schedule
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to change the open days of the Awakino Waste Transfer Station for the last week of the extended holiday schedule.
It will now open from 9am to 1pm on the following days:
Tuesday 
Thursday
Friday
The normal schedule will for Awakino Transfer Station will resume Sunday 8 February 2026.

DC Tynan Trust Fund

DC TYNAN TRUST FUND || The DC Tynan Trust was established for the purpose of making disbursements from a very generous bequest made to the former Te Kuiti Borough Council by the late Daniel Circuit Tynan.
The trustees of the DC Tynan Trust invite community organisations within Te Kuiti Urban Ward that are involved in the delivery or support of social, cultural, educational and recreational activities to apply. Priority will be given to projects of a capital nature.
There is a funding pool of $1,784.02 available for distribution.
Applications must be received by 5pm on 2 August 2021.
