Waitomo Landfill & Transfer Stations – Update Friday, 12 November 2021

12 Nov 2021, 2:23 PM

Our waste transfer stations hours have been reviewed and the same days and hours will continue this weekend and coming week.

The temporary, Maniaiti/Benneydale kerbside bagged refuse collection, will now be discontinued due to a lack of demand.

The weekly kerbside collection of bagged refuse and recyclables will continue at the remaining rural townships (Tuesdays) and Te Kuiti (Fridays).

Please note we are still in Alert Level 3 and are working under the relevant, mandated criteria. We are meeting our “essential service” obligations with our usual kerbside collection of bagged refuse, which has continued throughout all Alert Levels.

The schedule below sets out the opening times at each transfer station for the following week. These times will be reviewed again next Thursday and adjusted depending on the COVID Alert Level applying at the time, and demand.
