Fees and Charges

On 31 May 2022, Council adopted the fees and charges for 2022/23. These fees and charges apply from 1 July 2022.

Due to the on-going impact of COVID-19, Council has made every effort to retain fees and charges at the 2021/22 level. However, costs need to be recovered so that Council services are not subsidised further by rates.

The majority of these fees remain unchanged. But some changes have been made to the fees and charges of the following activities:

• Landfill charges and the cost of the official WDC rubbish bag
• Production of a Project Information Memorandum (PIM)
• Elderly housing

The schedule of Fees and Charges will be available on our website from 1 July 2022.
You can request a hardcopy of the fees and charges by contacting our Customer Services Team on 0800 932 4357 or email
