Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.
Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.
The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.
We also ask that you please conserve water as much as possible.
Due to the weather forecasted for the remainder of the week, it is not favourable to begin roadworks on Lawrence Street tomorrow as planned. For this reason, we are postponing works until Tuesday 7 February 2023. This means the scheduled road closure for Lawrence Street will also be postponed to this date.
