Waitomo District Christmas Parade

The Waitomo District Christmas Parade will be held on 9 December 2022 at 6pm.
The theme this year is "Kiwi Christmas" - we can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
SH3 remains closed
Update - 21 April 2026 at 3pm:
SH3 between Mōkau and Piopio will remain CLOSED until further notice due to significant damage caused by heavy rainfall this weekend. There are multiple large slips in the area, and crews are working hard to keep road users safe and clear the road as quickly as possible. It is expected the road will be closed for several days. SH43 between Whangamomona and Taumarunui is now OPEN with speed restrictions in place. Please drive with caution.
