Youth in the Regions: Keeping Talent in Rural New Zealand

How do we inspire young people to build their futures in rural New Zealand? Barbara Kuriger will lead a conversation on one of the most urgent challenges facing our regions: ensuring that talent is nurtured, supported, and retained outside the main centres.
From opportunities in education and training, to pathways in agriculture, technology, and regional enterprise, rural communities have unique strengths to offer. Yet attracting and keeping young people requires fresh ideas, strong leadership, and a commitment to building vibrant, sustainable communities.

Join us as we explore practical solutions, share success stories, and discuss what it will take to make rural life a place where the next generation can thrive.
