Planned Water shutdown notice - Tuesday 17 February 2026
A day-long water shutdown will be happening on Tuesday 17 February from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Boddies Terrace, Wesley Terrace, Tawa Street, Matai Street, William Street and Anzac Street.  This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to install a new watermain line. Age concern Staying safe, and the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) have teamed up to bring a refresher driving course for older drivers available to residents of the Waitomo District.

Whether you want to refresh your knowledge, study for an upcoming licence renewal, or improve your driving skills, this is the course for you! Sign up to attend the FREE course.
