This page lists all of the impounded dogs and stock, and includes a picture of the animal. The animal will be listed for 7 days.

Once an impounded dog has been held for 7 days and not claimed by its owner, it then becomes the property of the Waitomo District Council. 

If your dog is impounded and it's registration is current, it may be quickly returned to you - provided it hasn't been seized because it has attacked a person or animal. 

We only release dogs once all impounding fees and other additional fees (i.e. sustenance) are paid.

Pablo is a 6-year-old desexed male Bulldog x Shar Pei searching for his forever home.

This handsome boy is full of personality — he loves attention, sunbathing, and hanging out with his people. Pablo is an outgoing fella who enjoys company but is also quite happy doing his own thing.

He gets along well with other dogs when introduced properly, but he is not suitable for homes with cats, chickens, or sheep. Pablo is VERY food driven, so someone experienced with bull breed dogs who understands structure and boundaries would be ideal.

Pablo is looking for a home that:

✔ Has previous bull breed experience

✔ Has a fully fenced property

✔ Will allow him to sleep inside

✔ Wants a loyal companion and best mate

He is microchipped, desexed, and will be council registered once he finds his new family.
