The NZ Transport Agency has been working with the Waitomo District Council, Police and other road safety partners to identify opportunities for improvements at this intersection which was the site of two fatal crashes in 2012.

The Transport Agency will also seek funding for the design and construction of the chosen design layout. From the start of the public open day on Thursday 29 August between 2.00 pm – 7.30 pm the Agency is collecting your feedback on the options.
