Takiri Road closed due to slip

A large slip has occurred on Takiri Road (south of Te Kuiti off State Highway 4). The slip is located on the boundary of the Waitomo and Ruapehu Districts.
Takiri Road will be closed today and part of tomorrow while emergency work is completed to reinstate the road.
