Strong Wind Watch
Metservice has issued a strong wind watch for our district from midnight Wednesday
The watch is valid from 12am Wednesday 16 April to 3am on Friday 18 April.
Easterly winds may approach severe gale in exposed places. High chance of upgrading to a Warning.
Damage to trees, powerlines, and unsecured structures possible. Driving may be difficult, especially for high-sided vehicles and motorcycles.
Te Anga Road - update as at 10am
Te Anga Road will open from 11am this morning. Traffic controls will still be in place.
Please drive safely while in this area. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

WDC SERVICE INFORMATION - Waitangi Day 6 February 2018

WDC Customer Services

Our Queen Street office is closed Tuesday 6 February. For after hours services please call 0800 932 4357. 

Waitomo District Aquatic Centre

Open from 1pm - 5pm.

Waitomo District Library is closed.

Te Kuiti i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is open from 10am - 2pm.

Waitomo District Landfill is closed.

Kinohaku, Awakino, Marokopa, Benneydale and Piopio Transfer Stations are closed.

Kerbside Refuse and Recycling Collection Service - Piopio, Mokau/Awakino, and Waitomo’s collection takes place as per normal.
