Public notification: Military funeral on Sunday in Te Kūiti.

A forward notice that there will be firing of blank cartridges which produce loud bangs in support of a military funeral sometime between the hours of 1.30pm to 3pm on Sunday in Te Kūiti.

There will be soldiers marching around the town in support of the funeral ceremonial event with weapons, so please do not be alarmed or concerned.

There will also be a road closure at the intersections near the Les Munro Centre in both directions on Sunday 15 March. The closure will be in place at 12.30pm to 1pm. 

Soldier presence in Te Kūiti will be prominent from Saturday afternoon and will increase up to 100+ on the Sunday for the funeral.

COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE AUGUST 2016

The following meetings of the Waitomo District Council are scheduled for August 2016:

Tuesday 30 August 2016 at 9.00amMonthly Council Meeting

An invitation is extended to members of the public to attend these meetings for observation purposes.  

Member(s) of the public wishing to speak at a Council meeting, must first obtain approval from the Mayor at least two working days prior to the meeting.

A copy of the agenda will be available for inspection at the Waitomo District Council office and for downloading from our website.

DOG REGISTRATION FEES

This is a friendly reminder that all dogs over the age of three months must be registered with Waitomo District Council. We recommend that you check the details on your registration form and return it to us on time.

You should have received your dog registration form in the mail. If you have not, please contact us straight away.

Keep in mind that a 50% penalty fee is applied to all unpaid registrations after 31 July 2016.
