The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Friday 6 February for Waitangi Day. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.

Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.

Kerbside Collection - Benneydale/Maniaiti

Kerbside collection will take place this Thursday (21 October) and next Thursday (28 October) for Benneydale/Maniaiti residents.

This will be for Blue Council rubbish bags only at this stage. We are unable to pick up recycling under Level 3 restrictions.
