The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Friday 6 February for Waitangi Day. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.
We will still be available by phone on 0800 932 4357. More info

Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.

WDC Customer Services -  Our Queen Street Office closes at 4pm Monday, 24 April and reopens at 9am Wednesday, 26 April. Our call centre operates 24/7. For After Hours services please call 0800 932 4357

Waitomo District Library - Closed

Te Kūiti i-SITE Visitor Information Centre - Closed

Waitomo District Aquatic Centre - Open 12pm - 6pm

Transfer Stations -  Services will take place as per normal

Kerbside Refuse and Recycling Collection Services -  Services will take place as per normal
