Leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale

Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.

Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.

The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.

Maintenance work to start at Te Kūiti Holiday Park

General maintenance, repairs and painting will soon be carried out at Te Kūiti Holiday Park on Te Kumi Road .

This may cause some disruption to users, but Council's contractor will endeavour to keep them to a minimum.

A friendly reminder that our holiday park in Te Kūiti and Tui Park in Piopio are for short term stays of no more than 10 days.

Please contact Council on 0800 932 4357 to make arrangements if you wish to stay for longer.

Any abuse of the facilities may lead to a temporary closure until issues have been rectified.
