Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.
Water shutdown notice - William Street and adjoining streets
A water shutdown will be happening from 9am to 2pm today along William Street and adjoining streets. This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to commission a new watermain line. Thank you for your understanding.

Notice of maintenance work - Te Kuiti old Cemetery

Waitomo District Council will be felling trees located at the rear of the old Cemetery on Mangarino Road Te Kuiti, over the next few days. Safety barriers will be in place and public access will be restricted while this work is completed.
