Heavy Rain Watch - What you need to know

Metservice NZ has issued a Heavy Rain Watch for the Waikato region, in place from 2am–3pm, Wednesday 1 February.

Given the large amount of rainfall that our district has experienced over the past few days, we are urging residents to continue to take care and stay aware of the conditions in their area. Further rainfall could quickly exacerbate existing slips, river levels and produce further flooding quite quickly.

Green Bin delivery - Kerbside Refuse and Recycling Collection Service

27 Jul 2017, 10:42 AM

We are starting the process of distributing new recycling bins to properties receiving the kerbside collection service.

This will be a staged process starting with the western side of Te Kuiti township (that is the Carroll Street side of Te Kuiti) using the railway as the divide, tomorrow – Friday 28 July 2017.   Click here to view map. (PDF 962 KB)

We will first collect the recycling (as per normal), then collect the old bins, and finally deliver a new green bin. This process will take place throughout the day of delivery.

Please place your green bin on the kerbside by 8am as per normal, regardless of whether there are recycling items in the bin or not.

  • Friday 28 July 2017 - Green Bins will be delivered to properties on the western side of Te Kuiti Township - that is the Carroll Street side of Te Kuiti.
  • Tuesday 01 August 2017 – Green Bins will be delivered to properties in Mokau / Piopio.
