Slip on Te Waitere Road – please drive safe

Council is aware of a significant slip on Te Waitere Road. Currently the road is down to one lane with priority give way traffic control in place. Given there is poor weather forecast towards the end of the week, we encourage those needing to pass through this site to be vigilant and drive safely and to the conditions.

Gallagher named main sponsor for stadium

Te Kūiti’s new indoor sports stadium has secured the support of three significant partners to help ensure that it will be financially sustainable over the years ahead.
Hamilton headquartered and global technology company, Gallagher Group is to become the stadium’s overall naming rights sponsor. The stadium will be officially known as the Gallagher Recreation Centre, thanks to a sponsorship deal.
Each of the courts will also come with the support of naming rights sponsors – Graymont and The Lines Company.
Mayor John Robertson, who along with Sport Waikato CEO Matthew Cooper, was pivotal in securing the funding says the value and benefit of sponsorship is really important, particularly for smaller communities.
“These financial contributions are big wins for our community. I am extremely grateful for the support that these companies will be providing to us.
“All three are well known in our region and all actively contribute to the well-being of our people. That is why Matthew Cooper and I approached them over a year ago.
Further details will be provided this week
