Town clock investigation underway

Te Kūiti’s iconic town clock, a beloved symbol of our community, is currently experiencing an unexpected issue with its movement mechanism, resulting in the stoppage of the clock's southern side. We are aware of the inconvenience this may cause and are taking immediate action to rectify the situation.

To ensure a thorough examination and prompt resolution, we have enlisted the services of Pilbrows Watchmakers to investigate and address the fault. Their expertise and dedication will help us identify the root cause of the problem and restore the clock to its full functionality.

Unfortunately, due to the specific nature of the issue, a necessary part for the clock's repair needs to be sourced from the UK. While we understand that this may raise concerns about the timeframe for the restoration, we want to assure the community that we are expediting the process as much as possible.

At this stage, we do not have an exact timeframe for the completion of the repairs.

The town clock holds great significance to us all, and we are committed to preserving its historical and sentimental value for generations to come.

We will keep the community informed of any updates regarding the repair progress and the estimated time of restoration. In the meantime, we appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support.
