Planned Water shutdown notice - Tuesday 17 February 2026
A day-long water shutdown will be happening on Tuesday 17 February from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Boddies Terrace, Wesley Terrace, Tawa Street, Matai Street, William Street and Anzac Street.  This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to install a new watermain line. Scheduled Road Closure: SH30 / SH3 / Waitete Road intersections - 23-24 May

SCHEDULED ROAD CLOSURE || SH30 will be closed on 23-24 May while Higgins works on SH30 between the SH3/30 and SH30/Waitete Road intersections.
This work is being delivered on behalf of KiwiRail.
The upgraded works are expected to take a total of two days to complete. The existing footpath across the railway crossing will be unaffected, but expect there to be a temporary stop if the works encroach on the footpath.
The works will be weather dependent, and if the weather isn't suitable, the works may be postponed to the following Sunday and Monday 30-31 May.
