Planned Water shutdown notice - Tuesday 17 February 2026
A day-long water shutdown will be happening on Tuesday 17 February from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Boddies Terrace, Wesley Terrace, Tawa Street, Matai Street, William Street and Anzac Street.  This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to install a new watermain line. Walkway Closure behind Te Kūiti Aquatic Centre

The walkway behind the Te Kūiti Aquatic Centre to the Mangarino Road Bridge will be closed until further notice. The closure is necessary due to ongoing construction works on private property where the existing path is located, which means for health and safety reasons the walkway must be closed.
Once the construction is completed, Waitomo District Council will promptly create an alternative path to reconnect the walkway.
