3D Printer
We are excited to now provide a 3D printing service to members of our community.
Preparing your Design
There are 2 design options:
-
Design your own: If you want to design something yourself and new are to 3D printing, we recommend using www.tinkercad.com or www.instructables.com as these sites include step by step tutorials (but there are many other free online web software available).
- Using a pre-made design found online. (Please consult the website's terms and conditions in regard to using their designs).
Supplying your Design to the library
For the library to print your design, you will need to supply it as an STL file type. You can bring this in on a flash drive or email it to us at [email protected]
We will then fill out a printing request form with your details and print requirements.
Cost of printing
For cost of printing please refer to our fees and charges. The service fee will need to be paid before your printing is started (this is non-refundable).
A quote for the print will be provided at the time of logging your print job.
Please note: Before your print job is scheduled, you must speak to one of our staff members who will help you fill out our form with your information, print requirements, and your agreement to our terms and conditions.
