Effects on the local road network are fast developing due to the regional weather event.

WDC is assessing the storm damage impact on all our local roads. Given the extensive area of our network that has been affected by slips and surface flooding and the potential for access issues on school bus routes to develop overnight, we suggest that schools take that matter into account when considering whether or not to open tomorrow, Thursday 6 April 2017.

Please be advised that all bus companies for our district schools have been notified of the potential for road closures due to storm damage.
