Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.
Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.
The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.
Motakiora/Brook Park is open to the public again.
The hazardous slips which forced the closure of the top section of the park in February have been cleared.
Other repairs and track upgrades are still being undertaken so we ask visitors to Motakiora/Brook Park to please exercise caution when in these areas.
