Orange Heavy Rain Warning

Metservice has issued an orange heavy rain warning for our district and is valid until 5am Tuesday morning 28 October. We can expect 60 to 90 mm of rain, especially about the ranges. Thunderstorms possible. Peak rates of 15 to 25 mm/h expected Monday evening and overnight Monday. May upgradie to a Red Warning. Read more here

Community Partnership Fund

Are you planning a project that will benefit your community? If the project is aimed at making a positive contribution to our district’s Maori heritage and culture, social and recreational activities or help to make Waitomo a vibrant and prosperous district... then contact us.

Christmas Parade - Friday 12 December, 6pm

The theme is ‘It’s Christmas’ and we are looking forward to another fantastic community event.

We challenge you to join in and create an amazing float to parade down Rora Street. We are planning some great entertainment and of course SANTA will feature in the Parade.

Plus up for grabs once again the “Ultimate Shield” for best overall float. Get involved with your local school, club, community group or business and start putting together your ideas for a unique float that will stand out in the crowd. 

Help us to make this year a memorable event for everyone to enjoy.

 

HAVE YOUR SAY – Review of Bylaws 

We are reviewing the Water Services Bylaw and Public Amenities Bylaw.

You are invited to make a written submission on matters contained within the Bylaws.
