Construction work will begin Tuesday 24 June around Centennial Park area to install concrete islands and road line marking. We ask kindly that this area be kept clear of vehicles and residents do not park on the road for the next couple of days. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Slip on Te Waitere Road – please drive safe

Council is aware of a significant slip on Te Waitere Road. Currently the road is down to one lane with priority give way traffic control in place. Given there is poor weather forecast towards the end of the week, we encourage those needing to pass through this site to be vigilant and drive safely and to the conditions.

Tell us your views in our Resident’s survey

24 Apr 2017

As part of Waitomo District Council's on-going commitment to invite community feedback and engagement, our annual resident survey will be delivered to letterboxes across the district this week. Residents of the Waitomo District are invited to provide their opinion on Council’s performance and service delivery.

WDC Communications Officer Kelly Marriott says “What you tell us about the Council and our services is really important. It helps us to understand which services are most important to you, and where we can improve, so please do have your say.”

“The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and you can even fill it in online using your mobile phone or tablet. The results will help inform our upcoming priorities, plans and spending,” says Mrs Marriott.

The results of the survey are included in WDC’s annual report, and measure our performance and identify priorities for improvement.

Residents who take part in the survey are entered into the draw to win a $250 Prezzy Card.

Residents can have a say over a two week period. The survey closes Wednesday 17 May 2017.
