Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.

Road repairs - Ward Street level crossing

KiwiRail contractors will be undertaking asphalt repairs on the Ward Street level crossing in Te Kuiti.

The crossing will be closed to traffic and pedestrians for the period 4.30pm on Thursday 5 October to 4.30pm on Friday 6 October 2017.

Traffic management will be in place to guide traffic during this time. Alternative routes are available at the northern end of Carroll Street to Rora Street, and at the southern end of Carroll Street to Awakino Road and Rora Street.
