PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Waitomo District Council, for the purpose of the URG Targa Car Club Rally 2021 proposes to temporarily close the following roads/streets to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated:

STAGE NAME: Marakopa/Awakino – 26 October 2021 road closure from 07:25am to 11.55am (Waitomo DC)

Manganui Road (Rally Route), Waikawau

Mangatoa Road (Rally Route), Waikawau 

Ordish Road, Crawford Road, Waikawau Road, Waikawau, Taumatamaire Road (Approx. 300m from intersection with main rally route roads.)

STAGE NAME: Te Anga-26 October 2021 Road closure from 08:30am to 13:00pm (Waitomo DC).

Marakopa Road (Rally Route), Te Anga

Te Anga Road (Rally Route), Te AngaPast Crawford Road (no exit)

Side Roads: Mangatoa Road, Kairimu Road, Te Karaka Road, Coutts Road, Speedies Road, Marae Road, Appletree Road, Kokakoroa Road, Waipuna Road, Hauturu Road, Ngatapuwae Road. (Approx. 300m from intersection with main rally route roads.)

STAGE NAME: Otewa - 26 October 2021 road closure from 10:15am to 12:45pm (Waitomo DC).

Barber Road (Rally Route), Rangitoto

Rangitoto Road (Rally Route), Otewa

Side Roads: Thompson Road, Tahaia Bush Road, Pururu West Road, Pururu East Road. (Approx. 300m from intersection with main rally route roads.)

STAGE NAME: Oparure - 26 October 2021 road closure from 12:25pm to 16:55pm (Waitomo DC).

Oparure Road (Rally Route), Waikato

Mairoa Road (Rally Route), Waikato

Side Roads: Waipapa Road, Waitepipi Road, Ngapaenga Road, Pungarehu Road, Kihikihi Road. (Approx. 300m from intersection with main rally route roads.)

STAGE NAME Totoro Road Extended-26 October 2021 Road closure from 13:10pm to 17:40pm (Waitomo DC).

Aria Road (Rally Route), Piopio

Totoro Road (Rally Route), Piopio

Side Roads: Kahuwera Road, Hooper Road, Paekaka Road, Kaitaringa Road, Mahoe Street, Potaka Road. (Approx. 300m from intersection with main rally route roads.)

Note: To assist with the stage security, the closure is also to include 300 meters of each adjoining road, from where it intersects with this road closure being applied for.

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 5:00 pm Tuesday 1 October 2019 at the office of Waitomo District Council, Queen Street, Te Kuiti.
