Update on stormwater inspection project

7 Dec 2015, 2:06 PM

Waitomo District Council manages the urban stormwater network to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the network.

In October, WDC commenced a project to inspect the urban stormwater network in Te Kuiti. As part of this project, Council recorded important asset data about the location and condition of stormwater pipes, drains and manholes to enable the identification of assets in need of renewal or replacement.

The asset data obtained through the inspections will also be used to inform any future upgrades as part of our next Long Term Plan.

The inspection process is now largely complete, however some locations may require follow-up inspection work.
