One-lane road closure - Tuesday 17 December 2024

A one-lane road closure will be in place on Tuesday 17 December near the T section at BP Petrol Station in Te Kūiti. The section of road affected is one lane between Te Kūiti Pā and the railway crossing. Stop/Go traffic management will be in place. The closure is to enable Council’s contractor to investigate and upgrade a sewer manhole.

Adoption of Waitomo District Council Bylaws - Public Health and Safety and Public Places

Waitomo District Council has reviewed two bylaws that regulate activities in public places and protect public health and
safety.

These bylaws must be reviewed at least every ten years in accordance with the Local Government Act 2002.


Waitomo District Council adopted the Public Health and Safety Bylaw 2023 and Public Places Bylaw 2023 at the Council Meeting on 28 November 2023.
Both bylaws will come into effect on 18 December 2023.
